KBUG Autumn Cycling Tour 2026

Cycling in AutumnThis year’s Kiama BUG Autumn Cycling Tour is heading west to visit the city of Orange, during the week commencing Monday 9th March 2026

There will be three days of riding….

  • Tuesday 10th March
  • Wednesday 11th March
  • Thursday 12th March

Our base for the trip will be the Colour City Caravan Park in Orange. While our ride routes are yet to be finalised, each ride will start from the Park.

We will be basing our rides around the rides listed on the Ride Orange website.

These rides will mostly be on public roads, on surfaces suitable for all types of bikes.

More specific information about each of our daily rides will be available in the Ride Information document below. (This document will become ‘live’ as planning progresses.)

Participating riders will need to organise their own accommodation, staying in the area from Monday 9th March, to be ready to roll on the Tuesday morning, when we will be leaving the Colour City Caravan Park at 8:00 am.

If booking online at the Colour City Caravan Park, make a note that you will be staying with the Kiama Cycling Group.

Travel time from Kiama to Orange is around a 4-5 hours, via either the southern Goulburn/Crookwell/Trunkey Creek route, or the northern Campbelltown/Katoomba/Blue Mountains route.

To assist in the organisation for the trip, please register at the link below, before Friday 27th February.

More discussion and planning will no doubt take place on our regular rides over the coming weeks.

Canberra Ride Week – April 2019

Canberra 2019

Tuesday April 2nd to Thursday April 4th

This year’s Kiama BUG bike ride trip will be in the nation’s capital Canberra, the home of our political masters. It’s rumoured our most famous pedalling pollie Tony Abbott will make an appearance just to appease all you “lefties“ out there!

For accommodation the ALIVIO Tourist Park is recommended.
– Website – aliviogroup.com.au
– Phone -(02) 6247 5466.

The park covers a wide range of accommodation. It is also where all the rides will be starting from. (Checkout the reviews on google or look for other accommodation under Canberra accommodation.)

It is a 2 ¾ hr drive from Kiama, so you will need to book from Monday 1st.

Rides will be planned for the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The rides will be on Canberra’s extensive network of bike paths.

The drill will be the same as in previous years – ride in the morning, afternoons free, then meet in the evenings for a meal.

A more detailed programme of the rides and evening meal arrangements will be sent out closer to the event
