Overview |
These ride routes are suggested for visitors to the area, and provide options for cycling novices, families with young children, regular casual cyclists, and experienced cyclists.
A number of shorter rides are listed below. Many of these shorter rides can be linked together to form longer ‘Combo’ rides.
Two example ride guides are shown here (for now) – the C1 Beaches Tour and E5 Jones Beach / Swamp Rd Loop.
The maps below provides an overview of Kiama/Jamberoo and Gerringong/Gerroa/Berry ride routes. We may add additional maps for rides to Gerringong Falls, etc. over time.

- This trip involves riding on Swamp Rd, which is a narrow and winding (and sometimes hilly) public road – Experienced cyclists only!
- Start at the Jones Beach carpark and pedal through quiet residential streets to the Gainsborough shared path, continuing on to Swamp Rd.
- Head east along Swamp Rd, then on to Riverside Drive to meet up with the shared pathway across Minnamurra River, under the railway, then through Minnamurra residential streets to Jones Beach via Minnamurra headland.
- Spectacular coastal views from Minnamurra headland.
- Car parking: Kiama Downs / Jones Beach
- Cafes: Jones Beach / Minnamurra / Jamberoo (on extension ride)
- Toilets: Jones Beach / Minnamurra
- Public Transport: Minnamurra railway station.

- Ride from Kiama’s famous blowhole to spectacular Little Blowhole – which puts on a great show with a NE swell.
- Ride through the soothing Bonaira native forest

- Ride from Kiama’s famous blowhole for a swim or surf at Bombo Beach. (Northern end patrolled during summer.)
- Or start with a dip at Bombo, then ride into town for afternoon tea!

- Pedal from the Bombo Beach carpark to Jones Beach, then on to Minnamurra.
- Or start your ride at James Oates Reserve in Minnamurra and pedal to Bombo Beach.

- Parking, cafes and toilets at Jones Beach and Minnamurra. Parking and toilets at Bombo (North end).

- Pedal from James Oates Reserve (Minnamurra) to Shell Cove Marina and Killalea Surfing Reserve.
- Swimming at Minnamurra (river), or Killalea beach (Unpatrolled).
- Parking, cafes and toilets at Minnamurra, Shell Cove and Killalea Reserve.
- Undulating, with a steady climb up Dunmore Hill, and some short climbs out to Killalea Surfing Reserve.
- Visit Shell Cove Marina.
- This ride links to shared path routes to Shellharbour, Wollongong and Bulli.
- Train access at Minnamurra and Shellharbour Junction stations.

Jamberoo to Minnamurra Rainforest (x km) |

- This ride involves riding on Churchill Street, Jamberoo Rd, the Jamberoo Mountain Rd and Minnamurra Falls Rd, which are all busy public roads, – Experienced cyclists only!
- Start from the car park at Jamberoo Pool, pedal through the park and head north on Jamberoo Rd.
- Turn left into Jamberoo Mountain Rd, then right into Minnamurra Falls Rd to pedal out the the National Park.
- Visit the National Parks information centre for park and Minnamurra Falls details – some walking involved.
- Parking, cafes and toilets at Jamberoo and Minnamurra Falls National Park. (Check opening hours for cafe at the National Park.)

- Ride from Gerry Emery Reserve in Gerringong to Gerroa Boat Fishermans Club (easy) or continue on through Gerroa to the scenic Black Head (steep hill back to the Boat Fishermans Club).
